Through the past ten years, the method of telling tales about grave and hereafter had been widely spread throughout the kingdom. The nature of these tales were like horror movies. full of scary scenes, where the hero is the witness of the incident ,and the victim is dying . “the hero” is describing how the victim died. It can be a car accident, in a hospital, or natural death. It can be anywhere.
What catches people attention is how did the victim looks like while he was dying. was he smiling..? was he laughing in peace ..? how his facial muscles looked like ..? was he screaming ? .. had his eyes popped out of horror?? … what was he saying while he was dying? did he say ( OHHH YA ALLAH I SEE HEAVEN )..or screaming ( FIRE FIRE FIRE ) .
The problem is people tend to look at these kind of tales as a cause of heart softening, reminder of the hereafter. But they, unfortunately, didn’t notice how Qur’an used the tales, and for what reasons it was used. The story of Prophet Joseph, the story of companions of the cave, the story of Prophet Suliman, Prophet David, and Prophet Younis.
They ,also, didn’t notice this hadith of the prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him said. “Allah will cover up on the Day of Resurrection the defects faults of the one who covers up the faults of the others in this world. If Allah covers up on our defects in worldly life … how come HE would reveal them while we are dying to be tales to tell… ??? Subhan Allah.
Those sheikhs who started this phenomenon in our society should soon stop their rubbish. Simply, because, Saudis started opening up their minds. They started to realize that they got minds as well as the will to agree and disagree.I really wish it will fade away soon from all our mosques, schools, and Islamic institutions.
